Anna Monreal was born in Barcelona in 1976. She lives in Tarragona, works as an economist and studies in the Ateneu Barcelonès writing school. A passionate reader of Nabokov, Tolstoy and Flaubert, she thoroughly enjoyed writing Olives picants, the novel which pleasantly surprised the Consell de Cent readers of the prize El Lector de L’Odissea.
