David Castillo (Barcelona, 1961) was for more than thirty years director of the cultural supplement of the daily paper El Punt/Avui and has overseen, among other poetry events and moments of cultural reflection, Barcelona’s Poetry Week since its foundation in 1997. He has won three Atlántida prizes for journalism. As a poet, he was written eight books in Catalan, all of which are translated into Spanish. He has also published four novels.
