Joan Mas i Vives (Maria de la Salut, Mallorca, 1951), Professor of Literature at the Universitat de les Illes Balears, has been extensively active as a cultural historian, a literary critic, a biographer and the overseer of various critical editions. This has obliged him to face many times the documents presented to us by history and interpret and narrate them. In 2008 his fi rst novel was published, Com una vella cançó.
