Jorge Molist (Barcelona, 1951). His calling as a writer was evident from early on, but the first phase of his professional life took place in the corporate world, where he worked as an executive for companies in the United States, Spain, and several European countries. In 1996, he decided to return to his passion for literature, and in 2000, he published his first novel, Jerico (Jericho). This was followed by Presagio (Presage) in 2003, El anillo (The Ring) in 2004, and finally La Reina Oculta (The Hidden Queen) in 2007, which won the Alfonso X The Wise Prize for the Historical Novel. In 2011, he published Prométeme que serás libre (Promise Me You Will Be Free), and in 2013, Tiempo de ceniza (Time of Ash). His works have been published in more than twenty languages. In 2008, he left his career as a multinational executive to devote himself full-time to literature. He currently resides in Madrid.
