Born in Madrid in 1974, she is trained in dietetics and human nutrition by the University of Barcelona and holds a Masters in Sport Nutrition from the COI.
Since 1998 she lectures and teaches about nutrition and regularly publishes articles in various sports and health magazines. As a nutritionist she advises professional and amateur athletes, including tennis players, marathon runners and triatheletes. She has worked as the dietician of the Spanish national women’s field hockey team and the first-string teams of F.C. Barcelona in soccer and basketball. She currently is part of the team that prepares Leo Messi. As an athlete herself she was a professional tennis player at the Manolo Orantes school, and a supervisor and Catalan champion in paddle tennis (1999). As a triathlete, in addition to several Ironmans, she was the Catalan champion in olympic distance triathalon (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006), second place in all of Spain for long distance (2004) and world champion in long distance for her age group (2008).
