Verónica Sánchez Orpella (Barcelona, 1983), holds a degree in Humanities and Journalism from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She is a contributor to El País, El Punt and Quimera magazine. She is currently a literature teacher at the Aula Escola Europea. In 2011 and 2012 she traveled for seven months through Asia (Russia, Mongolia, China, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, South East Asia and New Zealand), which is where this novel began.
