Detective Max Riera solves a case in the picturesque towns of Majorca’s Serra de Tramuntana.
The disappearance of a Ukrainian poet who lived in the Majorcan village of Deià, in a cave on a cliff by the sea. Unlikely detective Max Riera sets out to follow his trail from the few clues he finds. And the main clue is that the poet was obsessed by the legendary writer Robert Graves. The investigation has curious connections with the art world and takes him, along with his friend Roc, to several places on the island. As he did in Formentera Blues, Xavier Moret uses Max’s investigation to paint a magnificent portrait of the island of Majorca, and the book ends up being an interesting and entertaining blend of detective novel and travel book.
