Genís Sinca Algué (Manresa, 1970) holds a degree in Information Sciences from the UAB, and before daring to sign his name to a novel he was a contributor to national and international newspapers, a correspondent in Italy, a professor of Catalan at the University of Heidelberg, and a writer of biographies and other non-fiction books, such as L’últim republicà (an unauthorized biography of Heribert Barrera), published by Columna. Throughout his intense and varied life, he has worked as a fashion model, summer apartment broker, literary critic, Italian teacher,and even ghostwriter.
