Maite Salord (Ciutadella de Menorca, 1965) is a professor and member of the Minorcan Studies Institute. From 2011 to 2021, she was a minister of the Council of Minorca, which she chaired from 2015 to 2017. She is the author of La Mort de l'Ànima (2007), finalist of the Sant Jordi prize. For the novel L'alè de les cendres (2014) she collected the stories of those defeated in 1939 in the Balearic Islands.
