Montserrat Rico Góngora is an assiduous collaborator on different newspapers and radio programmes. She has previously published Cartas a Lucrecia and Bajo un cielo púrpura, both of which were well received by critics and readers. She was awarded the prize at the Juegos Florales del campo de Cartagena in 2006.
