Pedro Mañas has a degree in English Language and Literature from the Autonomous University of Madrid. While there, one of his stories was selected for an anthology of young authors. He has since been awarded several national and international prizes in children’s fiction, among them the Leer es Vivir prize from the Everest publishing house and the Ciudad de Málaga prize from Anaya. More recently, he was the winner of El Barco de Vapor from SM publishers and the Anaya Prize for Children’s and Young People’s Literature.
