A sentimental education that is also a denunciation. Like the other girls in the village, the narrator of this story has a wonderful, unavoidable goal: to get married and have children. She has no other option but to hurry to find a boyfriend with whom to stroll hand in hand while making promises of eternal love. Like a gift from heaven, Ximo appears, so handsome and with that bullfighter's stance, and takes her dancing one night during the August festivities. She feels like the luckiest woman on Earth because it's not just that Ximo is handsome, but he also comes from a family of factory owners. They marry with the idea of having a love nest like in so many movies, without foreseeing that, sometimes, love nests turn into cages of solitude.
