Plans for the future

Original title: Plans de futur
Category: Fiction | General Fiction
Synopsis:

P lans de futur is a loose recreation of the peculiar family environment of the mathematician Ferran Sunyer, paraplegic and self-taught, who achieved international acclaim despite his physical limitations and the obstacles imposed by the university under Franco. In this family two cousins stand out, Maria and Àngels Carbona, who were by his side since childhood, as well as his absent father, who left home inexplicably. The difficulties and misfortunes suffered by the Sunyer and Carbona families are in stark contrast with the dynamic, positive attitudes of the paraplegic mathematician and his two cousins. The action takes place between the family home in Sarrià (Barcelona) and the summer home in Vilajoan (The Empordà). There are also trips to Nice, Figueres and Cadaqués, where Salvador Dalí makes a portrait of Maria Carbona they will treasure for the rest of their lives and which will play a part in the final outcome.
