Antoni Gaudí and Eduard Toda are two teenage friends fond of visiting abandoned historical sites. During one of these adventures, they discover a mysterious prehistoric engraving in the mountains near the castle of Escornalbou, a finding that will forever mark their lives.
One hundred and fifty years later, a couple in crisis composed of Laia, an archaeologist who feels undervalued, and Arnau, a geologist trapped by the political and economic interests of a thorny project threatening the natural environment of Escornalbou, begin a race against time investigation that will lead them to discover that not only is the engraving an unusual Neolithic astronomical sanctuary but also that both Toda and Gaudí were familiar with it.
Inspired by real research, the novel immerses us in the fascinating biographies of Eduard Toda, the first Egyptologist in the State, and the architect Antoni Gaudí, and shows us, in a thrilling narrative, the fascinating connections of the Pedrera, Casa Batlló, and Park Güell with a very specific landscape in Baix Camp identified as the possible inspiration for the brilliant architect.
